To refine the design of Heidis face and hair I made a maquette (top right) on which the colored images are based.
Heidi’s body and dress are very loosely based on her 3D model of the TV series „Heidi“ by studio 100.
It was the wish of the producers and the director to make her look close to the original japanese TV series of the 1970´s.
The director Tobias Schwarz I knew from way back when we both worked for FOX Animation Inc. in Phoenix., on “Anastasia” and “Titan EA”.
He was so kind as to bring me on board for “Heidi”. The work on the project was pure joy not in the least because of Tobias` brilliant directing!
